I received my sailfish this week and just wanted to say thanks. I have 65 mounts from 3 countries from my bow hunting travels and learned a long time ago that with taxidermy, you get what you pay for. Until now, my only fish was a Dorado from Cancun and was my most impressive mount done by Gray Taxidermy 4 years ago. The 100 inch sailfish has far surpassed that and is now the centerpiece of my collection and has a wall all to himself. Thank you very much.

Dear Terry,
Thank all of you for doing such an amazing job on my tarpon. When my I saw it I was in shock. My Dad has had several different types of fish mounted by other taxidermists and mine by far looks the most realistic. I don't know how you make it so realistic but I will come visit and find out some day with my dad.
The day was almost over and we were about to go in from fishing all day when suddenly we got a bite. I could barely hold the rod as I'm struggling to reel it in. It took 45 min to reel that bad boy in. The best fish I ever caught. As we brought it in the boat it took two of us to get it in. My mom took photos of me and my dad struggling to hold it. Finally we revived and released the tarpon to fight another day. A release mount makes it all possibly.
I would just like to Thank everyone involved again for doing such a fantastic job!!

My grandson, Matt, 13, had his dream come true when he caught a 95" sailfish in March 2010. The experience was a thrill for him and will be a cherished memory stretching far into his adulthood.

For me, however, it's the people "behind the scenes" that made his big catch so memorable. From our consultation and booking with Loomis Travel to our deepsea boat crew and our spectacularly mounted "Sailor" arriving from Gray Taxidermy......every detail was expertly taken care of -- all we had to do was enjoy the experience.

And enjoy we did. Special mention goes to our boat crew and Capt. Juan. When I told them this was a trip of a lifetime for Matt, they went out of their way to instruct and encourage him. When Matt and the crew failed to catch the exact type of fish to use as bait for a "trophy" fish, Capt. Juan called his brother who was fishing in deeper water to see if they could help. We turned in their direction and met them just as they caught the right bait and passed it to our boat still on the rod and reel! Back we went to try our luck.

Soon Matt felt something on his line. As events unfolded we couldn't believe our eyes as he hauled along side the boat a sailfish! It was huge! The crew was so excited and told Matt to hold him. Matt's mom and I were simply incredulous! The crew and Matt (following instructions) brought him on board....he was gorgeous! The crew gave Matt every opportunity to "help" and I know it made him feel like a real deepsea fisherman.

From there our "Sailor" had many photos taken, the best one is Matt standing beside his catch with Captain and crew smiling broadly. Gray Taxidermy took over and presented us with a perfectlly mounted "Sailor" for Matt to have as a grand reminder of his big catch in the waters of the Rivera Maya.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone at Gray Taxidermy for giving my grandson such a wonderful experience. I know it takes many people doing the right thing to make things right for people like us. We will always remember you with gratitude.

I was not sure what to expect as I waited for the three months due to so many complaints when you "Google" Gray Taxidermy. I must tell you that when I was in Mexico on this fishing trip I was rather hesitant about the process (i.e. down payment for mounting, etc.) and what I was getting myself into and whether or not I would ever see a fish. But I was very relieved after working with the group you have contracted down in Cancun ~ they were extremely informative and knowledgeable and very polite.

Once I returned to the states and your company began contacting me and keeping me updated on the progress of the mounting - I have to say: I am very impressed. I will recommend your company for this type of taxidermy.

Just wanted to thank you for the excellent job on my first Marlin ' a 400 pound Black I caught off Cairnes, Australia last October. You were recommended to me by Ray Rosher, Captain of the Miss Britt out of Miami, who is to my understanding the finest Sailfish captain in the States, if not the world. He captained the boat, the Sea Baby IV, owned by Rod Mathieson, for the last few days of my trip with my father Don Wall. Our captain Peter Wright, arguably the finest Black Marlin captain in the world, had to travel to Florida to be inducted into the IGFA Hall of Fame halfway through our trip, so he asked Ray to help us finalize our adventure. I must say it was an excellent trip, and I recommend the Sea Baby IV to anyone who plans to fish Australia, as well as Ray Rosher for anyone who plans to fish Florida or other areas for Sails. He is a top-notch captain.

Upon my first contact with Gray Taxidermy, I was greeted with professionalism and enthusiasm. Terry kept in constant touch with me via email and telephone, and worked with me incessantly to get the mount exactly as I wanted it. I'm a pretty picky fellow, and the staff at Gray forwarded me photos of the fish in progress and got my input as to how I wanted the coloring and the striping. I was amazed at how accommodating you people were through the whole process.

My fish arrived yesterday, and I couldn't be more thrilled. It looks just like I remember it as it jumped ten feet off the back of the boat. I almost feel like I'm gonna get splashed when I stand close to it. I can't wait to get it on the wall for all my friends to see and to gaze upon for hours by myself.

Thank you very much for adding the finishing touch to a dream come true. I will definitely be recommending your services to anyone I meet that needs pelagic or other aquatic taxidermy. Y'all come out to Montana and visit me and my fish in its new home!!
